Stained Glass

These handmade stained glass images are designed as panels or night lights.

These guys were made on a cold winter's night - with a remembrance of past summers and looking forward to future summers!

Lampshade

This lampshade has a quirky bird!

Glass coasters

These glass tiles consist of whimsical fabric between glass and a lead-free soldered edge -- waiting for drinks on a summer's table.

Ceramic coasters

These coasters were made in the early part of winter; you know those days...no snow, no leaves. I made them with a thought of spring and summer to come!

love mug

I had a blast redoing this mug that I had found at an outlet store. It took forever to find a way to apply the color, but I finally figured out that if I used the pottery wheel and a sponge brush, it was doable.

Jewelry & glass paint

Some jewelry and playing with glass paint this past summer. We used tiles we had found - Scrabble and ceramic bath tiles, and using the grinder from the stained glass projects, were able to take make some of the tiles clear.

Crow - coaster

This crow is just bobbing along!

Playing with glass...and fabric; coasters

Picking up some tips from Ed, I began soldering (my learning curve was a slow and painful process, but eventually I got there). I have found some fabric over the years, and thought they might be highlighted behind glass in coaster shape. To the right is our 1st collaborative effort!

Launching Phoebe Art

Ed, my husband, has been creating and selling stained glass art in his community for years. This past summer, we decided to join our artistic forces and set up a booth in at the Youngstown State Festival of the Arts.
With glass, recycled/ upcycled art, we've been exploring artistic visions ever since.
We came to the name "Phoebe" is based on our own interests - Ed now has 7 birdfeeders in the backyard and watches them avidly.
Phoebe is also the name for the moon and a flowering plant - parts of the outdoors I love.
An image here is on of Ed's stained glass creations. It measures 8" in diameter.
